Multiverse has been named on Fast Company’s prestigious list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2023. This year’s lists highlight the businesses at the forefront of their respective industries paving the way for innovations of tomorrow. These companies are setting the standard with some of the greatest accomplishments of the modern world.
Multiverse was awarded spot number 8 on this year’s education list(opens new window) for our mission to build an outstanding alternative to college and university in order to create a more diverse group of future leaders.
“Few education companies have focused on creating an entirely new model in order to ensure the next generation of workers are educated and trained more equitably for the future of work. Multiverse is taking a stand-alone approach to challenging the status quo of the industry - and therefore moving it forward - through tuition-free training and education in the most in-demand skills like software engineering and data analytics,” said Sophie Ruddock, COO of Multiverse. “We are honored to be recognized by Fast Company today alongside some of the most innovative companies in the world.”
We were recognized for our innovations over the past year including our work to become the first apprenticeship provider to receive Degree Awarding Powers from the Office for Students (OfS) in the UK. With this step, Multiverse now offers a degree that is both free to the individual and is taught through a unique combination of personalized coaching, classroom instruction and immediate application in the workplace, rather than theoretical lectures and outdated exams.
The award comes shortly after we announced that we reached 10,000 apprentices in our community. That’s 10,000 lives changed through the power of applied learning and tuition-free training.
We’re excited about this next achievement and look forward to continuing driving forward innovations that make education and today’s best careers more accessible.
