RS Group, a global provider of product and service solutions, has launched a new Data Academy - offering apprenticeships up to degree level in data analytics.

50 employees across multiple functions within the business will enrol onto the first cohort, with another launching in December.

Apprenticeships will cover a range of skills including analytics, AI, and predictive modelling. Training will be delivered by Multiverse, a tech company focused on high-quality education and training through applied learning. Multiverse has trained more than 10,000 apprentices in areas such as software engineering and data analytics.

Apprentices will enrol on one of three Multiverse programmes: the 13-month Data Literacy programme which introduces apprentices to the use of data; the 15-month programme Data Fellowship which covers more advanced data analytics and modelling; and the degree-level Advanced Data Fellowship. The Advanced Data Fellowship will cover a range of technical and analytical skills, including data analysis, data wrangling, statistical testing, data ethics, predictive modelling, and data security.

The investment into apprenticeships aims to improve efficiency, and offer professional development opportunities to employees.

Emma Botfield, MD UK of RS Group, said: “Ensuring our people get access to the best training is vitally important. It gives our team members access to world-class learning that will enhance our career, and a qualification up to degree-level. But it also ensures we as a business remain ahead of the curve: utilising the latest technologies including AI to deliver value for our clients.”

Multiverse delivers world-class training in a wide range of qualifications in tech, data, and engineering. Apprentices benefit from coaching with an industry expert and are supported by a thriving community with events, socials, mentoring, and leadership programmes.

Peppa Wise, VP of Go-To-Market at Multiverse, said: "Being a data-driven organisation requires more than just intention - it also requires skills. RS Group has recognised this, and through training that focuses on applied learning, their colleagues will gain the ability to use and interpret data in a range of settings to drive results and efficiencies. Not only will there be business impact, but the professional development opportunities will also create career impact for individuals."
