We have hired two additional leaders to turbocharge Multiverse's offering and help us achieve our ambition of creating an outstanding alternative to university.

Lisa Barrett(opens new window) has joined as Vice-President, Learning & Delivery, and Clare Sutcliffe(opens new window) has joined as Vice-President, Community. Both will play a crucial role improving the experience Multiverse apprentices enjoy on their journey to becoming future leaders.

Clare joined this month to lead the expansion of Multiverse's Community(opens new window), providing unique opportunities for apprentices to meet, learn from and support each other. Clare is an experienced social entrepreneur who founded and ran Code Club(opens new window), a nationwide network of after-school coding clubs that now has a global reach of over 200,000 children each week. She received an MBE for this work and most recently co-founded She Wins, which empowers women through negotiating skills.

Lisa Barrett has joined as VP Learning & Delivery with a strong background scaling digital products and as a heavy-hitter in education innovation. Lisa recently led the UK's Digital Identity work for the British government and was a senior leader in the justice system, running all data and analysis for the UK Ministry of Justice(opens new window). She has worked with world-leading organisations to upskill individuals, including as MD of AVADO Digital(opens new window) and as a Director at Coursera(opens new window). Lisa started her career as a teacher and teacher trainer and spent nearly a decade based in San Francisco, developing and scaling education innovations across the US.

Euan Blair(opens new window), Multiverse Co-Founder and CEO, said:

"Our mission to create a diverse group of future leaders has never been more important. The lockdown has accelerated the race for digital skills and put a renewed focus on the need for real opportunities for all young people. In an environment where the diminished value proposition of university is coming under increasing scrutiny, the need for a genuine alternative has never been greater."

"As we continue to scale, it’s essential we have a leadership team that can further develop our model. I’m thrilled that with Lisa and Clare on board we can continue to improve our applied learning experience, deepen our community offer, and bring an outstanding alternative to university through apprenticeships to even more people."

Lisa leads Multiverse's brilliant team of coaching staff and product managers, responsible for programme design, operations and innovation. Clare will oversee the expansion of the Multiverse Community, which has put wellbeing and remote delivery at its core since the lockdown began. Both roles are essential for continuing to evolve Multiverse's world-leading apprentice experience and will involve close working with Multiverse's co-founders and wider leadership team.
